Pre-Baselworld 2015: Iconic Cricket Movement Honoured

Pre-Baselworld 2015: Iconic Cricket Movement Honoured

2015, A PROMISING YEAR

After a dynamic 2014 full of developments, the Manufacture des Montres Vulcain once again invites you to the Baselworld trade show for the launch of several new models.

Vulcain Cricket 1947

THE FIRST VULCAIN CRICKET 1947 HONOURED

In honour of its rich historical heritage, the brand has decided to revisit its peerless Cricket movement by developing a new piece in partnership with its German ambassador, actor Heiner Lauterbach. With a design based on the legendary first Cricket watch dating from 1947, this timepiece subtly combines a vintage look with contemporary precision.

Outline of the dial design

With its mother of pearl dial, bicolour pink gold/steel case and honey alligator strap, this 50s Presidents’ Cricket reflects the aesthetic style of the 1950s. This timepiece will be officially presented by Mr. Lauterbach at 1pm on Friday 20th March on the Vulcain stand.

CLOISONNÉ ENAMEL, A TRADITION

Remaining faithful to its history, the Le Locle-based Manufacture has added a new model to its «Métier d’Art» collection which celebrates the age-old specialist art of cloisonné enamel. This difficult technique, which requires patience and attention to detail, brings exceptional precision to the design, as well as unique and long-lasting colour rendering.

Concept & Design

The mythological theme of this new model represents both the manufacture’s heritage and the underlying principles that guide it: industry, finesse and expertise.

2014 saw the launch of the Aviator Instrument Chronograph. This year, Vulcain is expanding this range with an Aviator Cricket collection graphically based on the 2014 model but with the addition of a V-11 proprietary movement.

Guilloché-work on the dial

The iconic 50s Presidents’ Watch Manual collection is also enhanced with a restyled dial combining elegance and refinement.
