TAG Heuer and Red Bull Racing Drivers in Sochi

TAG Heuer celebrates the #DontCrackUnderPressure spirit in Sochi with the presence of Red Bull Racing Drivers Daniel Ricciardo and Daniil Kvyat & Olympic champions and Friends of the Brand Vic Wild and Alena Zavarzina

Since the beginning of the F1 season, Swiss avant-garde watchmaker TAG Heuer is the Official timekeeper and Official watch of Red Bull Racing, taking part of the Official team designation –  a Historic Premiere for a watch brand in the world of Formula One.

The alliance between Red Bull Racing and TAG Heuer, brings together two brands with different experiences in the sport but a shared philosophy for the future. On one hand, Red Bull Racing brings an innovative and unconventional approach to the world of F1. The team is Quadruple Double World Champions, having won both the FIA Formula One Constructors’ and Drivers’ World Championships in 2010, 2011, 2012 and 2013. It is Red Bull Racing's approach to the sport and to entertainment which appealed to TAG Heuer, one which is perfectly in line with the watch brand's new dynamic marketing strategy.

The combination of Daniel Ricciardo and Daniil Kvyat also represents one of the most exciting driver line-ups on the grid; both drivers are products of the Red Bull Junior Driver programme which continues to develop some of the most exciting young talent in F1.

Vic Wild and Alena Zavarzina – Snowbord Olympic Champions 2014 and friends of the brand came to Formula 1 Russian Grand Prix on 1st of May to support the Red Bull Racing Team. They used to live on high speed and even during the holidays decided to test themselves and changed regular snowboards to bobsleigh sleds.

On the 27th of April, Vic and Alena slided down the Olympic bobsleigh track "Sledge" in Sochi at a speed of over 100 km/h under the guidance of the Russian national bobsleigh team leader Alexander Kasyanov. Daniil Kvyat became the guest of that event and rooted for them. In qualifying and race days, they switched places. Vic and Alena supported Red Bull Racing team from the Paddock Club tracking the laps time with their TAG Heuer Carrera and TAG Heuer Formula 1 Chronographs. Both of these models have been named in honor of legendary races and were selected by Vic and Alena because they appreciate heritage and aesthetics, and strength in extreme situations. During their stay in Sochi, friends of TAG Heuer brands passed another strength test and once again proved that they #DontCrackUnderPressure under any circumstances.

Red Bull Racing are Quadruple Double World Champions, having won both the FIA Formula One Constructors’ and Drivers’ World Championships in 2010, 2011, 2012 and 2013. It is Red Bull Racing's unorthodox approach to the sport and to entertainment which appealed to TAG Heuer, one which is perfectly in line with the watch brand's new marketing strategy.

TAG Heuer is also the founding partner and Official Timekeeper of the FIA Formula E Championship, Official Timekeeper of the legendary Carrera Panamericana, the Goodwood Festival of Speed, the Automobile Club de Monaco (ACM) and Monaco Grand Prix, Macau Grand Prix, Indy 500 race in Indianapolis, of the Patrick Dempsey Racing stable (endurance), and, latterly, of the Race of Champions event in London. Ayrton Senna and Steve McQueen also remain members of the TAG Heuer family of ambassadors.
