Monfardino has nearly twenty years of experience in the watchmaking and luxury sectors in Switzerland. During that period, he held several senior executive positions in the industry, notably over fifteen years as Sales Director at Franck Muller.

A native of Sardinia, Italy, he began his career as a goldsmith and a jeweler before setting an international course for himself with a move to Switzerland.

"I am thrilled to accept this important role and am really happy to be back in Geneva, the city where Meccaniche Veloci is headquartered", said Monfardino. "My priority is to add value to the brand and contribute to the further strengthening of its position in the industry. It is a crucial time of growth for Meccaniche Veloci, which must tackled by all managers”.

Riccardo Monfardino's tasks will be to expand the Meccaniche Veloci's commercial network. He will work closely with Cesare Cerrito, who heads the private-limited company as Executive Chairman. 

"Meccaniche Veloci is undergoing a period of rapid expansion, which has seen the recent launch of the new collection CorsaCorta Evo at Baselworld, the expansion of the distribution network and the transfer of management to Geneva", said Cerrito. "The appointment of Riccardo will allows us to strengthen our management structure, enhancing our capabilities and further stimulating the development of this independent brand".

Cerrito was appointed Executive Chairman of Meccaniche Veloci in March, when the management of the brand was taken over by the new Geneva-based company. This move ensured that the brand will maintain Italian design while keeping its “Swiss made” label.
