Last week, Jaeger-LeCoultre welcomed French actor, director and horse-rider Guillaume Canet in New York.

Following his recent visit of the Manufacture in the Vallée de Joux, Switzerland, he discovered the newest Boutique flagship of the Grande Maison, 701 Madison Avenue, inaugurated a week earlier.

Giving support to those who daily contribute to create and bring life to the art of filmmaking, Jaeger-LeCoultre was also proud to be part of the annual "Rendez-Vous with French Cinema" festival, presented by their multi-year partner, the Film Society of Lincoln Center, and Unifrance Films.

Presenting two films In the Name of my Daughter by master filmmaker André Téchiné and crime thriller Next Time I’ll Aim for the Heart by former Cahiers du Cinéma critic Cédric Anger, Guillaume Canet shared his passion as a director and actor and the roles he played with New York Film Festival Director and Selection Committee Chair Kent Jones.

Rendez-Vous with French Cinema, a co-presentation of the Film Society of Lincoln Center and Unifrance Films, attests to the sheer variety and vitality of contemporary French filmmaking.

The lineup includes established masters, critics’ favorites, and actor-turned-directors who have fully come into their own as filmmakers, alongside some of the emerging talent from what has been called France’s next New Wave.
