Hublot unveils its latest pop-up store in Dubai combined with the kick-off of the first Hublot Challenge

This is a first in Dubai! This is a first for Hublot! Swiss luxury watchmaker Hublot showcases the different facets of the Art of Fusion in Dubai combined with the kick-off of the Hublot Challenge, thanks to a Ferrari ultimate F1 racing simulator installed for the brand’s guests at the Grand Atrium in the Dubai Mall.

The inauguration took place on the 1st of October with the presence of Hublot Chairman Jean-Claude Biver, Mohammed Abdulmagied Seddiqi, Senior VP of Sales & Retail at Ahmed Seddiqi & Sons, long-term partners of Hublot in Dubai, and Marco Tedeschi, Hublot Director for Middle-East. The event was crowned with a special appearance from His Highness Sheikh Mansoor bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum who discovered the latest novelties from Hublot.

From October 1st to 14th, Hublot luxury timepieces featuring high complications and new innovative materials are exhibited in a creative pop-up store located at the Grand Atrium in The Dubai Mall.

The Pop-up saw a notable array of luxury timepieces, which included the aptly named Big Bang Ferrari Ceramic Carbon with the mythic Ferrari Yellow, alongside the Big Bang Ferrari King Gold. The Big Bang Ferrari Titanium Carbon is their signature piece created with its renowned Red sapphire glass.

Hublot also presented a colorful array of Pop Art re-interpretations. The Big Bang Pop Art is carries two models in gold and two in steel feature a bezel set with 48 baguette precious stones: topazes for the blue, amethysts for the purple, sapphires for the pink and tsavorites for the green, and dials with multi-colored counters reminiscent of a painter's palette.

Timeless elegance is epitomized through the Classic Fusion Tourbillon Skull. One of the kings amongst complications, the ceramic-coated aluminum gives this piece a truly striking appearance. The winding skeleton movement features a ceramic layer and has a high hardness rating of around 1000 Vickers. It has excellent resistance to corrosion and friction, and is twice as light as ceramic. With a 5-day power reserve, the bone-shaped design with skull-shaped minute tourbillon barret (which rotates fully in one minute) creates a surprising and different piece: the perfect fusion of tradition and future.

As the Official Timekeeper of Ferrari worldwide, Hublot has also brought the Ferrari F1 racing simulator that provides a fully immersive experience to guests and VIP’s as part of the exhibition. The simulator features the electronic system, which is used by professional race drivers. Equipped with HD graphics displayed onto a wrap-around curved screen and accompanied 3D effects, the ride transports drivers into the track and gives a realistic sensation when driving.

Dubai has been chosen as the first round of the Hublot Challenge 2014 in Middle-East. The guests were able to compare their performances with Ferrari F1 drivers, live on the www.hublotchallenge.com website. The winner of the Dubai leg had the privilege and honour to be invited to compete for the final in Abu Dhabi and try to win a real track experience on the Yas Marina circuit during the Ferrari Finali Mondiali week-end which will take place on 3rd – 6th December, 2014. Hublot watches are at Ahmed Seddiqi & Sons stores and Hublot Boutique at the Mall of Emirates.
