H. MOSER & CIE. MAKES A REMARKABLE RETURN TO RUSSIA

Founded in Saint Petersburg in 1828 by Heinrich Moser, H. Moser & Cie.'s roots are deeply anchored in Russia. After leaving the country in 1917, the brand is ready to make its grand return, uniting past and present and delighting its many admirers.

When Heinrich Moser settled in St. Petersburg to found his company, it marked the start of a love story with Russia. Moser timepieces quickly made a name for themselves, sported by prominent members of society, princes and members of the Imperial Russian Court.

Rare and refined, and of exceptionally high quality, Heinrich Moser's creations were greatly sought after. In the 20th century, Fabergé, "jeweller to the tsars", fitted almost all of his table clocks with calibres from H. Moser & Cie. In 1917, the October Revolution signalled the end of H. Moser & Cie.'s Russian adventure, as the company was under Swiss control following Heinrich's death.

With their company seized, the directors of Moser returned to Switzerland and the flourishing business ended there.

2015 marks H. Moser & Cie.'s return to Russia, and the resumption of its activities within this market. The company is in the process of developing its distribution network in Russia, meeting up with retailers and its partners and friends in the media at Baselworld between 18th and 25th March. As Edouard Meylan, CEO of H. Moser & Cie., emphasises: "Russia means a lot to H. Moser & Cie., both historically and symbolically. Russia is where our roots lie, and where Heinrich Moser had his very first taste of success.
