Constantin Stikas
Photographer and journalist

Constantin Stikas stopped professional photography in 1998. His eyesight had deteriorated and his photos were no longer to be seen in Vogue, Elle, Figaro, Status, or Capital… An evangelist for watchmaking excellence, Stikas consequently took to the spoken word by conducting interviews, but not before founding a watchmaking fair in his native Greece, which then led to a magazine. A browse through the pages of the bilingual French and English VeryImportantWatches.com, a natural extension to his work for events and the printed press, will reveal rare interviews with the likes of Gérald Genta, as well as comprehensive features, independently conducted research and personal reflections on passing time. He now reserves his sound and pertinent observations for Watchonista.
