TAG Heuer welcomes Mats Hummels, Ambassador and player of FC Bayern Munich in its Manufacture

TAG Heuer was honoured to receive for the first time in its Manufacture in la Chaux-de-Fonds, Mats Hummels, the central defender of the FC Bayern Munich. It was barely a year ago that TAG Heuer welcomed the player into TAG Heuer’s family of Ambassadors.

Mats Hummels, who was previously captain of Borussia Dortmund, is one of the best players in the German national team. He joined the FC Bayern München for the 2016/2017 season. With the German Football Association selection, he became a 2014 World Cup champion. Other career successes include two German championships (10/11 and 11/12 with Borussia Dortmund), winning the German Football Association Cup (11/12 with Borussia Dortmund), winning the Supercup (13/14 and 14/15 with Borussia Dortmund) and the European championship title with the German Under-21s (2009), and more recently, the Bundesliga title 2017 with FC Bayern Munich.

It was therefore an honour for TAG Heuer to welcome him to its manufacture. He was welcomed by Jean-Claude Biver, CEO of TAG Heuer and President of LVMH Watch Group Division. He received an exclusive glimpse into the manufacture and its beautiful museum. Mats Hummels showed a lot of interest for the technique of the timepieces, and the savoir-faire of the watchmakers. A pleasure which was shared by all of the employees.

As a reminder, TAG Heuer is the official timekeeper of the German Bundesliga, as well as the official timekeeper for the Premier League, Manchester United F.C, LaLiga, La Ligue de Football Professional, the American Major League Soccer (MLS) with the US Soccer Federation & Professional Referee Organization, the Chinese Football Association Super League, the Chinese men’s national team, the Japanese J-League, and the Australian men’s national team. TAG Heuer also sponsors key competitions of the Asian Football Confederation (AFC) including the Asian Qualifiers Final Round for the qualification to the 2018 FIFA World Cup, the AFC Women’s Asian Cup 2018, and the AFC Asian Cup 2019.

TAG Heuer wishes all the best to Mats Hummels for his next game on Saturday 26th of August during the match FC Bayern München – Werder Brême.
