New HAUTLENCE HLRQ 01 Watch presented at SIAR
HAUTLENCE launchs the HLRQ 01 at the Salon International de Alta Relojeria (SIAR) taking place in Mexico from October 1st 2013 as a sign of the continuing growth of the brand with an enlarged range of products at different price levels.
The new HAUTLENCE HLRQ01 presented at SIAR 2013 in Mexico
In January 2013 at the Geneva Time Exhibition, HAUTLENCE unveiled the HLRQ collection, a more contemporary and casual version of the classically finished round HLQ collection. The first two models introduced were the HLRQ 02 and the HLRQ 03 with the case and bezel being crafted in grade 2 titanium and the horns, push-button and crown from 316L steel (Black DLC treatment for the HLRQ 02 and polished for the HLRQ 03).
As with the HLRS collection (launched in 2012), the HLRQ forms part of the AVANT-GARDE watch family which gives a more prêt-à-porter execution than the current HL and HLQ collections. This range still features the same “in house” movement together with a high level of quality and finishing but without the use of expensive gold cases and dials used elsewhere in the collection.
This positioning has allowed HAUTLENCE to propose a range of extremely high quality watches but at a sensibly lower price than before (HLRS Collection starts at 30’000 CHF and HLRQ at 33’500 CHF). The brand has also developed an entry range with the DESTINATION collection with the classic “TV Screen” case of the historical HL collection but with a GMT automatic movement provided by Soprod and starting at 20’000 CHF.
HAUTLENCE HLRQ 01 a resounding success
Using pink gold in this selected area of the watch, HAUTLENCE has managed to integrate the expensive materials in a very attractive way but without having a high impact on the retail price. The HLRQ 01 will be released at 41’500 CHF taxes included which means only 8’000 CHF more than the HLRQ 02 or 03. The perceived value of the watch is definitely higher than the difference in price against other models of the collection. The HLR Q1 is a perfect example of what high-end watches brands should propose to customers: good value for money…
