On Sunday, as the Official Partner of the Organización Latinoamericana de Fomento del Pura Sangre de Carrera (OSAF), Longines was proud to time all the races of the Longines Gran Premio Latinoamericano in Santiago (Chile). Ya Primo ridden by Jeremy Laprida won the highlight race of the 2019 Longines Gran Premio Latinoamericano. The 2019 Longines Cup Carlos Campino was claimed by Bernardo León on Lluvia de Plata. In keeping with the brand’s motto ‘Elegance is an Attitude’, Longines also hosted its famous Longines Prize for Elegance, celebrating individual expressions of elegance, and rewarding a Gentleman and a Lady from the public with a Longines timepiece.

The spectators attending this much-anticipated racing rendezvous had the opportunity to discover the Official Watch of the event: a sporty model from the Conquest V.H.P. “Very High Precision” collection. This watch represents the ultimate step in quartz precision wristwatches, featuring timekeeping technology pioneered by the Swiss watch brand. The movement of the Conquest V.H.P. is renowned for its high degree of precision for an analog watch (± 5 seconds/year), and its ability to reset its hands after an impact or exposure to a magnetic field. This Longines watch’s attractive features are further complemented by its superior battery life and a perpetual calendar.

The Longines Gran Premio Latinoamericano is an itinerant competition set up by the OSAF every year in a different Latin American country. In addition of being its Title Partner, Longines is proud to be the Official Timekeeper and Official Watch of this event, considered the most important international Group 1 horse race of the subcontinent. In 2020, the Longines Gran Premio Latinoamericano will take place in Argentina.
