Team Germany Claimed The 2019 Longines FEI Eventing European Championships Crown In Luhmühlen

From 28 August to 1 September 2019, Longines was pleased to celebrate the performances of Europe’s best Eventing riders and horses at the 2019 Longines FEI Eventing European Championships in Luhmühlen (GER).

As Title Partner and Official Timekeeper of this thrilling equestrian event, the Swiss watch brand timed the victory of the German team, as well as the win of Ingrid Klimke in the individual competition. The spectators present for that occasion had the opportunity to discover the Official Watch of the event: a sporty model from the Conquest V.H.P. “Very High Precision” collection.

Last week in Luhmühlen (GER), Longines was proud to be the Title Partner and Official Timekeeper of the 2019 Longines FEI Eventing European Championships, which gathered the best riders and horses of the discipline for five days of intense competitions. Requiring both the horses to be extremely versatile and the riders to have exceptional skills, the Eventing discipline perfectly illustrates Longines’ values, as it requires elegance of dressage, precision of show jumping, as well as speed and courage of cross-country.

Held in Luhmühlen for an incredible sixth time (1975, 1979, 1987, 1999 and 2011), the 2019 Longines FEI Eventing European Championships saw the victory of team Germany, made up of Ingrid Klimke, Michael Jung, Andreas Dibowski and Kai Rüder, as well as the win of Ingrid Klimke and her mount SAP Hale Bob OLD in the individual title. To celebrate their great performances, Longines was delighted to present the winners with elegant timepieces.

On this occasion, Longines was also honored to highlight the Official Watch of the event, a model from the Conquest V.H.P. “Very High Precision” collection. This line represents a new achievement in the field of quartz, combining great precision, high technicality and a sporty look, marked by the brand’s unique elegance. Equipped with an exclusive movement renowned for its high degree of precision for an analog watch (± 5 seconds a year) and its ability to reset its hands after an impact or exposure to a magnetic field, the Conquest V.H.P. has thus positioned itself as the standard-bearer of extreme precision.
