The Swiss watch brand Longines had the pleasure to time the Longines International Jockeys’ Championship, which saw the remarkable victory of Silvestre de Sousa. Taking place in the very heart of Hong Kong, at Happy Valley racecourse, the event reunited an all-star cast of the world’s best jockeys and set the tone for the Longines Hong Kong International Races this weekend.

As the Title Partner and Official Timekeeper of the races, Longines’ presence at the racecourse highlighted the Conquest V.H.P. “Very High Precision” collection, representing a new achievement in the field of quartz, and combining great precision, high technicality and a sporty look, marked by the brand’s unique elegance.

Held in the very heart of Hong Kong, at Happy Valley Racecourse, the Longines International Jockeys’ Championship consists of four races fiercely contested by twelve world-class jockeys representing their countries or regions. The jockey accumulating the biggest score is thus crowned the winner of the championship. With 34 points points, Silvestre de Sousa (representing the UK) won the competition, taking home the first prize and a Longines timepiece. Colin Keane finished second with 16 points, followed by Vincent Ho Chak-yiu with 12 points.

As the Title Partner and Official Timekeeper of the Longines International Jockeys’ Championship, the Swiss watch brand was proud to present the Conquest V.H.P. “Very High Precision” collection as the Official Watch of the event. Representing a new achievement in the field of quartz, this line combines great precision, high technicality and a sporty look, marked by the brand’s unique elegance. All pieces in this collection are equipped with an exclusive movement renowned for its high degree of precision for an analog watch (± 5 seconds/year) and its ability to reset its hands after an impact or exposure to a magnetic field. These attractive features are likely responsible for its exceptional movement status, to which a very long battery life and a perpetual calendar must be added.
