Record-breaking Longines watch sales at an auction in the US

A Longines watch has been sold for possibly record-breaking $50,600 during an auction in the US.

The watch was originally bought in 1948. The stainless steel chronograph features a manually wound mechanical movement of the famous caliber 13ZN. You can see this historical timepiece on our website and in our museum.

About the movement:

The factory creates a calibre for a legendary wristwatch, the 13ZN, produced in various versions, with one or two push-pieces, with a semi-instantaneous 30-minute counter or a 60-minute continuous counter. Longines files a patent for this calibre, one of the most remarkable in its history.
