The Longines Future Tennis Aces tournament, organized by the Swiss watch brand for the 6th consecutive year, was rounded off this morning with the victory of Xiaofei Wang (China) against Jack Pinnington-Jones (United-Kingdom). Both players took then part to an exhibition match with Arnaud Clément, patron of this year’s tournament and Michaël Llodra.

In addition, Xiaofei and Jack were presented with a Longines watch, a trophy as well as an annual bursary until their 16^th birthday from the hands of Juan-Carlos Capelli, Vice-President and Head of International Marketing of Longines and Jean Gachassin, President of the French Tennis Federation (FFT). The young Chinese winner will also the great honor to do the coin toss for Sunday’s second match, on the Philippe-Chatrier court.

Consistent with Roland-Garros and supported by the FFT, the Longines Future Tennis Aces tournament included this year players from the following countries: Australia, China, Denmark, France, Hong Kong, Italy, Japan, Mexico, Poland, Russia, Singapore, Spain, Switzerland, Taiwan, the United Kingdom and the United States of America. Before the tournament, the young talents started the week with the “Longines Academy”, a training camp where they could receive advice from two specialists of the discipline: Rémi Barbarin and Julien Boutter. 

Longines' commitment to young sportsmen and sportswomen is not confined to tennis, since the Swiss watchmaking brand also supports them in other disciplines, notably in equestrian sport, with the Longines Future Racing Stars prize for flat racing, and in alpine skiing, with the Longines Future Ski Champions race.

Longines, Official Partner and Watch of Roland Garros since 2007, will be highlighting during this top-level sporting event a new steel chronograph model, the Conquest Classic Moonphase, housing a self-winding mechanical movement. The sophistication of this watch, with its moon phase display, makes it an eminently refined piece to be worn at the most popular sporting events.
