Some of you may have heard that Linde Werdelin just finished hosting an inaugural cocktail in collaboration with our friend, Anil Arjandas over in Marbella, along with another long-time supporter of ours, WatchAnish and his band of merry men. As far as combinations go, I think ours was quite the triple threat.


Our arrival set the pace for the 3 days to come, with the LW squad and I being greeted warmly by the Spanish sun and Anil’s wonderful team.

After checking in to the Marbella Club Hotel, a veritable landmark and icon in that city, we were off for a day of adventure, with stand-up paddling, jet-skiing and more on the menu. The day ended with a delicious intimate dinner among close friends and customers at Los Bandidos restaurant.


The next day was D-Day and amidst the last minute craze a cocktail party’s organisation demands, I did manage to find time to catch up with some of our designated LW People, Kristian Haagen and Jon Olsson. Then, when the hour rolled around it was time to join the festivities at Anil’s flagship in Puerto Banus, where so many more LW enthusiasts converged. By the end of it, I managed to recruit a few of them to join me at dinner back at the Marbella Club, with the most courageous among us continuing on till the wee hours.


Oh, and we sold a few watches along the way too.


Unfortunately, by the last day when things calmed down, I wasn’t able to indulge in any diving as the wind was so strong we couldn’t take the boat out – I guess you can never have it all.

For those of you who could not share the love with us in person, the #LWMarbella hashtag was there to help stay on top of everything.

The good news is, it looks like this was the first in what should become a series of events, so there will be a more opportunities to join us in future.
