J. N. Shapiro Resurgence

The Resurgence is made with extreme attention to every detail. Crafted at the highest level of horology, both in terms of time-keeping and finish.The watch is also the most American made watch since Hamilton closed it's doors in 1969.

We take great pride that with the exception of springs, jewels, and crystals all parts were made by J.N. Shapiro in our workshop.The dial is made from rose gold and flame darkened zirconium. The center of the dial features our unique and complex "Infinity Weave" -pattern. Each of the four layers is engraved separately then machined and aligned perfectly. This is something that has never been done before.The hands are extremely three dimensional, and polished to a mirror finish.

The movement features a unique bridge design with beautiful "Damaskeening", a technique used frequently on old American pocket watches. The technique is a mix of Cotes De Geneve and Guilloche.The spokes of each solid rose gold train wheel is rounded and mirror polished. We also take great pride in our anglage and perlage.The balance is free sprung with weights in solid platinum.

The Resurgence is the culmination of a thirteen year journey into watchmaking, and was created by the efforts of ten individuals at J.N. Shapiro. Their initials are on the barrel bridge of the movement.
