Polo afionados and celebrities including Pippa Middleton converged to the Jewel of the Swiss Alps over the 3 days of competition for this 19th edition of the Hublot Polo Gold Cup Gstaad. 

On Thursday, qualifying matches were played with a light breeze. Friday, the sun was shining and the warmth was back for the Polo Players Parade through the village of Gstaad. The Hublot cocktail proved, once again, to be a great success. 

Saturday’s weather was with colder temperatures. However, with the presence of Jean-Claude Biver, Chairman of Hublot and President of the Watches Division, Groupe LVMH, the semi-finals brought some heat and intensity. The teams really fought hard to qualify for the Final. Despite the showers, the Gala night on Saturday evening has been a fun moment, with famous European boogie-woogie pianist Silvan Zingg setting the tone. The ambiance was just great and everyone danced until the early hours. 

On Sunday, after heavy rain in the morning, the play-offs were played through penalties only to preserve the polo field for the final opposing Team Gstaad Palace and Team Banque Baring Brothers Sturdza SA. After a suspenseful game, the winner was Team Banque Baring Brothers Sturdza SA with a score of 5-3.
