June 26, 2014 marked the 213th anniversary of the patent of the Tourbillon, a revolutionary invention of Abraham-Louis Breguet, father of modern horology.

The nation-wide festivity known as “Tourbillon Day” was celebrated throughout all Breguet Boutiques as well as retail partners who welcomed watch enthusiasts to cheer with champagne and see the brand’s vast collection of Tourbillon timepieces.

A private cocktail reception was held at the flagship boutique on Fifth Avenue, in where a special presentation on the history and innovation of the Tourbillon was presented by the head of R&D for Montres Breguet.
