Didactic and interactive, this retrospective presents 200 years of tourbillons through contemporary and antique pieces including the No. 1105, a perpétuelle pocket watch with "à toc" quarter repeater dating from 1794.

In the late 18th century, A.-L. Breguet impresses by his inventive approach of watchmaking. He develops different ingenious devices such as the gong spring, the pare-chute or the famous tourbillon.

With more than 100 patents filed during the last 10 years, Breguet walks in the footsteps of its founder. The Manufacture maintains its pioneering approach by incorporating new technologies in its watches, the evidence being the Classique Chronométrie presented this year. After more than three years of research, this watch is given a frequency of 10 Hz and equipped with the first magnetic pivot in watchmaking history. These technical achievements, made possible by silicon, considerably improve the regulating performance of the watch.
