At an event celebrating craftsmanship, two dozen VIP guests had the privilege to slip into the role of an engraver and have a hand at trying this meticulous art.

Engraving is a decorative technique adorning the timepieces of most of Breguet’s collections coming directly from the workshops in la Vallée de Joux. One of the skills needed to be an engraver is exceptional dexterity. Contrary to a painter who can modify his piece of art in case of errors, each gesture in engraving must be perfect the first time as it cannot be redone.
