In watchmaking, independents come in all sizes. Big, small, and everything in-between. Technically, you can even call Rolex and Patek Philippe an “independent.” Regardless of size, one thing doesn’t change – you’re judged on the quality of your craftsmanship and design originality. Something Akrivia has in spades.
 

During this year’s Baselworld fair, Watchonista had the opportunity to sit down with founder Rexhep Rexhepi. On day one of the show, his Chronomètre Contemporain was already the talk of the independent’s hall. We subsequently wrote a hands-on article and filmed an interview with Rexhepi.
