Pragma Expands Its Retail Presence and Unveils the P1 Perseverance Stone Dial Editions 2026
With a new partnership with Ace Jewelers and the launch of the Stone Dial Editions 2026 capsule collection, Pragma expands its collector-focused ecosystem while introducing a new annual creative platform for the P1 Perseverance.
Independent Swiss watchmaker Pragma enters a new phase of development with two significant announcements: an exclusive retail partnership with Ace Jewelers across the United Kingdom and the Netherlands, and the introduction of the P1 Perseverance Stone Dial Editions 2026.
Presented during London Watch Week 2026, these announcements reflect the brand’s commitment to thoughtful curation, independent watchmaking, and a collector-focused approach, with the retail partnership broadening Pragma’s reach and the new annual capsule collection signaling how the young maison intends to evolve its flagship collection without compromising its founding principles. Let’s tale take a look!
Key Highlights
• Inaugural series of Pragma’s new annual capsule collection initiative featuring P1 Perseverance models made exclusive for that year’s limited edition collection
• Three natural stone dials: Obsidian, Sodalite, and Jade
• Powered by the chronometer-certified Calibre Pragma 1031-1 developed with Chronode SA
• Limited to just 18 watches worldwide across steel and 3N Gold executions

A Brand Built on Architecture, Precision, and Provenance
Since its founding, Pragma has pursued a deliberately selective approach to distribution, choosing partners not for market reach but for shared values and curatorial conviction. The appointment of Ace Jewelers reflects the latest expression of that philosophy.
Founded in 1975 and owned by the Ben Joseph family, Ace Jewelers has established itself as one of Europe’s most respected destinations for independent watchmaking, with boutiques in Amsterdam and London and a long-standing commitment to championing emerging creators before they reach wider recognition.
Rather than functioning as a conventional retail agreement, the partnership represents a statement of mutual trust. Through Ace Jewelers, Pragma gains access to key collector markets while maintaining a coherent, highly curated presentation of its work across London, Amsterdam, and online at AceJewelers.com.
The Next Evolution of the P1 Perseverance
Built around transparency, traceability, and mechanical substance, Pragma’s P1 Perseverance collection was conceived as a foundation for the Maison’s broader ambitions and introduced a framework in which materials, suppliers, and manufacturing processes are openly documented.
With that structure now firmly established, Pragma turns its attention toward a different challenge: how to evolve a collection without resorting to endless variations or repetitive limited editions.
The answer arrives in the form of the Stone Dial Editions.
Beginning in 2026, the P1 Perseverance will host an annual capsule collection in which three executions (that will be exclusive to that year’s capsule collection) are created around a single material, artistic discipline, or craft technique. Each year’s theme will appear only once before being permanently retired.
Natural stone serves as the starting point for the inaugural chapter.
The Stone Dial Editions 2026
For its first annual capsule, Pragma selected three natural stones: Obsidian, Sodalite, and Jade.
Rather than serving as decorative inserts, the stones become the dial itself, with each stone mounted onto a brass chassis and the hour indices carved directly into the material. The resulting composition emphasizes texture, depth, and natural variation while preserving the architectural clarity of the P1 Perseverance design.
Supporting elements have been treated with similar restraint. The minute track is printed in white, while the counters are crafted from aluminum. However, to avoid a monochromatic color palette, two 3N gold-coated counters at 12 and 6 o’clock introduce warmth and contrast without disrupting the overall balance of the dial.
Each stone will be produced in six examples: five in Solar Stainless Steel supplied by Panatere SA and one in 3N Gold. The complete capsule collection, therefore, consists of only 18 watches worldwide. Once delivered, the 2026 configuration will never be repeated.
Obsidian Takes the Spotlight
Although the capsule consists of three stone executions, Pragma has elected to introduce them gradually. Thus, the Silver Obsidian Dial on Solar Stainless Steel, which made its public debut today at London Watch Week 2026, is the inaugural release.
The Sodalite and Jade versions, along with the three unique 3N Gold executions, will be revealed later in the year across separate platforms and events. The brand hopes that by staggering the releases, each material will receive the individual attention it deserves.
Mechanical Substance at the Core
Beneath the new dials lies the same technical architecture that defines the broader P1 Perseverance collection.
The watch is powered by the Calibre Pragma 1031-1, an automatic chronometer-certified movement developed in partnership with Chronode SA and certified according to ISO 3159 standards.
Operating at 4Hz and boasting a 60-hour power reserve, the movement incorporates a bidirectional winding system with a titanium and platinum rotor. More notably, its bridges, mainplate, and structural components are manufactured from Grade 5 titanium fully recycled by Panatere SA, reinforcing Pragma’s commitment to material transparency and responsible sourcing.
Meanwhile, the movement’s finishing combines polished bevels, converging Côtes de Genève, and natural sandblasted surfaces, balancing contemporary aesthetics with traditional watchmaking techniques.
Christopher Wegener’s Watchmaking Vision
Much of Pragma’s identity stems directly from the experience of its founder, Christopher Wegener.
Before establishing the maison, Wegener trained at Rolex and spent 8 years working alongside F.P. Journe, contributing to movements including the Chronomètre Souverain, Octa, and Chronomètre à Résonance. He later worked at Laurent Ferrier, focusing on natural escapement and tourbillon constructions, before continuing his career within specialist manufactures dedicated to high complications.
That background is evident throughout the P1 Perseverance project. Rather than approaching watchmaking through marketing narratives alone, Pragma places technical execution and manufacturing transparency at the center of its identity.
The Stone Dial Editions continue that philosophy by introducing artistic variation without altering the collection's mechanical foundation.
