Photo Gallery: Watchonista & Sotheby’s Celebrate Luxury Week In New York City
To kick off the multi-departmental and highly anticipated Luxury Week, Watchonista teamed up with Sotheby’s to create an evening unlike any other.

Last Friday, friends of Watchonista and esteemed collectors from around the Tri-State Area gathered at Sotheby’s Auction House on New York’s Upper East Side for a unique twist on the classic auction viewing format: a scavenger hunt that combined not only watches but several Luxury Week auctions, including handbags, streetwear, wine, and jewelry.
Eager to show the best of what Sotheby’s had to offer during Luxury Week, the scavenger hunt found guests exploring several floors of the iconic building.
The Event
In true Watchonista fashion, we always try and add an approachable aspect to luxury, and last week’s event was no exception. Thus, craft beers and spicy pretzels were served alongside Sotheby’s wine and truffle popcorn. These treats kept guests energized as they traveled the venue finding the scavenger hunt answers and trying on one of the many Tiffany-signed Patek Philippes or exotic Hermès Birkin bags.
By all accounts, it was a successful collaboration between Watchonista and Sotheby’s, and we can hardly contain our excitement as we wait to see how the lots featured in the scavenger hunt do in this week’s auctions.
