When Omega announced its Seamaster Diver 300M 007 Edition in December 2019, it only added to the anticipation of the forthcoming No Time To Die film – the fifth and last installment to feature Daniel Craig as James Bond. We didn’t anticipate a global pandemic causing a nearly two-year wait for the film’s release.
This past weekend in Los Angeles, Omega pulled out all the stops to celebrate the release of the 25th film in the James Bond franchise. In attendance was Omega Global Ambassador, Daniel Craig, 007 producer Michael G. Wilson, Omega's President and CEO Raynald Aeschlimann, US Brand President Arnaud Michon, and other luminaries such as Omega ambassador Alessandra Ambrosio and Friends of the Brand, Justin Hartley and Julia Michaels.
The film, No Time To Die also marks Omega’s 9th appearance as the official watch of James Bond.
Omega and James Bond
Watchonista has covered Omega’s relationship with James Bond extensively. We’ve even interviewed Mr. Bond himself, Daniel Craig. The two characters, an iconic Swiss watchmaker and an international man of mystery, date their courtship back to the 1995 release of Goldeneye, which in the film, then-Bond Pierce Brosnan wears an Omega Seamaster 300M Quartz Professional 2541.80.00.
Over the nearly three decades since their first rendezvous, Omega timepieces featured in James Bond films have varied in styling, but they’ve always maintained the use of the Seamaster model.
And while the colorways have changed over the years, the famed diver reference has remained steadfast on the wrist of James Bond, as Watchonista discovered during Omega’s No Time To Die event in Los Angeles earlier this month.
The Film (And Watch) Finally, And Officially, Arrives
And while much virtual ink has been spilled about Omega’s Seamaster Diver 300M 007 Edition, the watch finally made its big-screen debut last weekend. I don’t want to spoil the movie, but I can say that out of all the Bond films (and I’ve seen them all), Omega’s presence in this film is probably the most visible the brand has ever been on the silver screen.

The new Seamaster Diver 300M 007 Edition makes multiple appearances throughout the film, including one pivotal scene in which the watch is used: “I just showed somebody your watch,” Bond says to Q, “It really blew their mind.” And we’re pretty sure that scene will blow your mind as well…
Worthy Of A Second Look: The Omega Seamaster Diver 300M 007 Edition
Now that the film is out in theaters, Omega is pulling back the curtain on the design process of the Seamaster Diver 300M 007 Edition. During a private screening of No Time To Die, Omega’s President and CEO Raynald Aeschlimann revealed that Craig played a personal role in developing the latest Bond watch.
“It was always important for Bond to be as stylish as he can while having objects around him that are desirable. I’ve been working so closely [with Omega], and we’ve been designing watches for almost 15 years. I didn’t know that I would ever get into that game. This whole relationship has been such a pleasure for me. [Omega] comes with amazing ideas, amazing prototypes. It’s just always done so well,” Craig told the assembled press during the Q&A session.
With the Seamaster Diver 300M 007 Edition, Omega has penned a fitting tribute to Craig’s last turn as Bond. Thanks to its “tropical” brown dial and bezel ring, the watch lends a neo-vintage-inspired look completed by the vintage Super-LumiNova in the hands and indices.

Fun Fact: The Co-Axial escapement was invented by another fellow Brit, the iconic Isle of Man watchmaker, George Daniels.
Pricing And Availability
The Seamaster Diver 300M 007 Edition comes in two versions. The first is with a fully titanium Milanese bracelet priced at $9,200. The second version is on a Nato strap and is priced at $8,100.
