Rolex Celebrates 100 Years of the Oyster with a Slew of New Oyster Perpetual Models
Rolex is kicking off this year’s show with a slew of new watches celebrating the 100th anniversary of the release of the brand’s first waterproof wristwatch, the Oyster. Here is a quick rundown of Rolex’s Watches and Wonders 2026 releases.
With Watches and Wonders 2026 in Geneva set to begin in just a few short hours, Rolex has decided to kick things off a little early by unveiling its novelties at the stroke of midnight (Swiss time). And, guys, let me tell you, there is a lot to cover!
In the days and weeks to come, we will bring you the kind of in-depth analysis of these novelties that you’ve come to expect from Watchonista, including all the details of the brand’s revolutionary new Yacht-Master II, new Day-Date 40 in the brand’s new Jubilee gold alloy, new Rolesium Cosmograph Daytona, and its new Superlative Chronometer Certification.
However, for now, here is a quick rundown of Rolex’s Oyster Perpetual releases for Watches and Wonders 2026.
The Oyster Perpetual 41 (Ref. 134303)
First up, the Oyster Perpetual 41 in yellow Rolesor reinterprets the bi-metal aesthetic by pairing a bezel and winding crown in yellow gold with a bracelet entirely in Oystersteel.
An unprecedented configuration, this watch’s bracelet’s center links are made from the same metal as the outer links and the middle case, whereas typically they would be in yellow gold.
Housed in a 41mm Oystersteel case, the Oyster Perpetual 41 features a domed yellow Rolesor bezel and slate dial with the inscription “100 Years” in the place of the usual “Swiss Made” mark at 6 o’clock. Meanwhile, each five-minute interval on the minute track is denoted by a green square, and the name “Rolex” is pad printed in the brand’s emblematic green.
Carrying a guaranteed depth rating of 100 meters (330 feet), this piece’s caseback (which is edged with fine fluting) has been hermetically screwed down with a special tool. Additionally, its Twinlock winding crown, fitted with a double waterproofness system, screws down securely against the case.
Finally, sporting an all-steel Oyster bracelet with an Oysterclasp that also includes the Easylink comfort extension link, which allows the wearer to easily adjust the bracelet length by approximately 5 mm for instant additional comfort, the Oyster Perpetual 41 is powered by the self-winding calibre 3230 movement, which incorporates a blue Parachrom hairspring and the patented Chronergy escapement and offers a power reserve of approximately 70 hours thanks to the movement’s barrel architecture and the escapement’s superior efficiency.
The Oyster Perpetual 41 (Ref. 134303) is available now and is priced at $9,650.
The Oyster Perpetual 36 (Ref. 126000)
The new Rolex Oyster Perpetual 36 is an explosion of color, featuring a multicolored lacquer dial decorated with what the brand calls the “Jubilee” motif.
In truth, the brand is actually revisiting the Jubilee motif it introduced at the end of the 1970s. Technicalities of its “newness” aside, the Oyster Perpetual 36’s dial displays the letters of the Rolex name in a contrasting interplay of no fewer than ten colors.
Housed in a 36mm Oystersteel case with a domed Oystersteel bezel, the Oyster Perpetual 36 has many of the same features as the Oyster Perpetual 41: waterproof up to 100 meters, hermetically screwed down caseback with a fine-fluted edge, a Twinlock winding crown fitted with a double waterproofness system that screws down securely against the case.
Also powered by the self-winding calibre 3230 movement, the new Oyster Perpetual 36 (Ref. 126000) is available now for $6,750.
The Oyster Perpetual 28 & 34 (Refs. 276208 & 124205)
Both offered in 18-karat gold and with hour markers at 3, 6, and 9 o’clock crafted from natural stone (a first for Rolex), the Oyster Perpetual 28 is fashioned from yellow gold and features a green stone lacquer dial, while the Oyster Perpetual 34 is offered in Everose gold with a blue stone lacquer dial.
The case and bracelet on the new versions of the Oyster Perpetual 28 and Oyster Perpetual 34 are primarily satin finished, lending their surfaces a softly textured sheen. These new timepieces also mark the first time that the satin finish has been employed on Rolex models fashioned entirely in precious metal. Meanwhile, their domed bezels gleam all the more from the contrast their polished finishes provide.
Sporting an ogive cut, the stones adorning the hour markers at 3, 6, and 9 o’clock vary by model. To complement the yellow gold and green stone lacquer dial, the Oyster Perpetual 28 features green-hued heliotrope. The blue stone lacquer dial and Everose gold-clad Oyster Perpetual 34, on the other hand, features dumortierite, a mineral characterized by alternating areas of light and dark blue.
Powered by the self-winding calibre 2232 movement with a 55-hour power reserve, a patented Syloxi hairspring, and a paramagnetic nickel-phosphorus escape wheel, both the Oyster Perpetual 28 and Oyster Perpetual 34 come on a three-piece link Oyster bracelet with a folding Oysterclasp that includes the Easylink comfort extension link.
Available now, the Oyster Perpetual 28 (Ref. 276208) is priced at $30,000, while the Oyster Perpetual 34 (Ref. 124205) is priced at $38,100.
The Datejust Perpetual 41 (Ref. 126334)
Featuring a green lacquer ombré dial, Chromalight index hour markers, and a fluted bezel, the new Datejust Perpetual 41 is crafted from white Rolesor and is equipped with the self-winding calibre 3235 movement that has a 70-hour power reserve and incorporates the patented Chronergy escapement, which combines high energy efficiency with great dependability.
Made of nickel-phosphorous, this escapement is resistant to strong magnetic fields. The movement is also fitted with a blue Parachrom hairspring. Manufactured from a paramagnetic alloy that enables it to withstand strong magnetic fields, the hairspring offers great stability in the face of temperature variations and high resistance to shocks. Moreover, to further enhancing the movement’s shock resistance, the oscillator is mounted on the brand’s high-performance Paraflex shock absorbers.
Available now, the Datejust Perpetual 41 (Ref. 126334) is priced at $11,650.
