Raised in southern Westchester County, a scant 30 minutes from New York City, by grammar and syntax-fanatic parents, Elena Fichtel graduated with a Bachelor of Fine Arts from New York University. Professionally, Elena has a background at Apple and worked for a major New York law firm. Since proofreading the book Privacy and the American Constitution by William C. Heffernan, Elena has enthusiastically undertaken her role as Watchonista's copy editor and fact-checker by delving into the world of luxury timepieces and the watch industry. When not editing, Elena enjoys going to Yankee games, spending time with her niece and nephews, and listening to true crime podcasts and audiobooks.
