The New Hublot Big Bang Reloaded Collection Brings Seven New Watches to the Table
The brand adds five new Big Bang models to the core collection, plus two 200-piece special editions done in collaboration with Kylian Mbappé and Usain Bolt.
Last year, Hublot celebrated the 20th anniversary of the Big Bang. If 2025 was a year of reflection for the emblematic timepiece, then 2026 is all about looking forward. This year at Watches and Wonders in Geneva, the brand is announcing that it is rebuilding the icon from the inside out.
“The Big Bang Reloaded is a masterful statement. It embodies Hublot’s growth as a Manufacture and the evolution of the Big Bang collection and the Unico caliber over time,” said Julien Tornare, CEO of Hublot, in a statement announcing this new, five-piece collection. There are also two special edition collaborations with sports legends Kylian Mbappé and Usain Bolt.
There’s a whole lotta watches to discuss, so let’s jump right in!
Back To Life
o understand the significance of the Big Bang, one must go way back to 1980, when Hublot introduced its first revolutionary mash-up of materials. Specifically, gold and rubber. Twenty-five years later, the Big Bang made its explosive debut. This now-legendary timepiece amplified the original’s signature elements, such as the porthole bezels and signature screws, while also featuring a carbon-weave pattern on the dial and cool chronograph features.
Of course, the new Big Bang Reloaded editions are going to pay tribute to the Big Bang’s history of technological innovation, risk, and reinvention. In fact, the brand only had to look back to earlier this year, when Hublot launched the Big Bang Original Unico, to find inspiration for the Reloaded line.
While the design features the 2005 original model with a closed dial, it is now powered by the Unico manufacture caliber. “That was a turning point: our in-house caliber now drives the entire Big Bang collection,” explained Tornare. “The next step for us was clear: to re-engineer the open worked Big Bang Unico itself, now more expressive and rebuilt from the inside out.”
According to the Maison, the Big Bang Reloaded is one of the most advanced integrated chronographs of its generation. For starters, the Unico caliber features five patented innovations: backlash-compensating oscillating clutch, an anti-shaking chronograph hand system, a “zero friction” ratchet wheel blocker, a watch rate fine-adjustment system, and highly shock-resistant time-setting.
When the brand says the Reloaded collection is rebuilding the Big Bang from the inside out, they are talking about the visual impact of the caliber’s architecture and technical depth. Color and contrast take center stage. The color-highlighted column wheel at 6 o’clock and the dual oscillating clutch at 8 o’clock immediately draw the eye toward the integrated flyback chronograph mechanism.
Finally, the chronograph counter at 3 o’clock has been redesigned, and the date has been repositioned between 4 and 5 o’clock.
Material Goods
While the Big Bang Reloaded builds on the technical innovations of the openworked Big Bang Unico, this collection is also crafted from the materials that made Hublot famous.
For example, the Magic Gold model employs the world’s first scratch-resistant 18K gold. There are also three references crafted from ceramic: the All-Black edition, which celebrates 20 years of Hublot’s “visibility through invisibility” concept; plus, the blue and dark green models, which showcase the manufacture’s know-how in producing full-color high-tech ceramic. The fifth reference combines black ceramic with lightweight aerospace-grade titanium.
The redesigned 44mm case also lends the Reloaded a sportier feeling than its predecessors. A two-part bezel and multilayer dial provide sharper contrasts between materials and finishes. And each watch comes with two wristbands: one in fabric-inspired rubber with H-pattern stitching and the other in classic black rubber, both secured by a folding clasp and patented One Click system enabling the wearer to easily switch up between a casual or more formal look.
The pricing is $24,000 for the Titanium Ceramic, $44,500 for the Magic Gold, and $25,200 for the All Black, Blue Ceramic, and Dark Green Ceramic.
Special Guest Stars
The above watches form the foundation of the new Reloaded family, but at Watches and Wonders, Hublot also unveiled two collector-focused, 200-piece limited editions: The Big Bang Reloaded Kylian Mbappé and the Big Bang Reloaded Usain Bolt.
Collaboration with sports stars is just as much a part of Hublot’s legacy as its explorations in design and materials. In fact, Jamaican track star Usain Bolt has been a brand ambassador since 2010.
Hublot worked closely with Bolt to craft a 44mm watch built with black ceramic and carbon. “Working on this watch with Hublot allowed me to rewind and replay my race journey, every second, every stride, every finish line,” said Bolt in a press release for the new piece. “The lightning-bolt hand? My pose. A green and yellow pulse with Jamaica in my heart. The soil in the case-back? The ground that made me. Wear it, own it and make your own history. Time waits for no one, but you can beat it!”
Bolt also credits Hublot for keeping up the connections long after he hung up his spikes. But newer relationships are also coming into play within the Reloaded family.
This year, the brand is releasing its very first limited edition with soccer star and Hublot Ambassador Kylian Mbappé. While the footballer has been an ambassador since 2018, this edition marks his first hands-on collaboration with the brand.
Crafted in 44mm polished white ceramic and 18K King Gold, this piece captures Mbappé’s mantra “Trust Yourself” (which is also reproduced at 6 o’clock on the bezel). “[W]e capture [Mbappé’s] mindset: ‘Trust Yourself’. Words that speak to a generation, to challengers who dare to step forward and take the shot,” said Julien Tornare about the collaboration.
“Working on this watch with Hublot gave me the chance to reflect on my journey, every match, every goal, every big moment,” added Mbappé. “The number 10 is my lucky number, my identity on the pitch. The white and gold symbolize clarity and ambition.”
The Big Bang Reloaded Usain Bolt and the Big Bang Reloaded Kylian Mbappé are both priced at $30,000.
