Ingenieur Automatic Edition “Tribute to Nico Rosberg”

IWC's unique Ingenieur Automatic Edition "Tribute to Nico Rosberg" made for Only Watch 2015, sets another milestone in watchmaking history. Reference IW324603, made of solid boron carbide – the first use of this material in the watch industry and one of the hardest and most scratch-resistant materials available. Almost as hard as diamond and as light as aluminum, its boron carbide case, measuring 46 mm, is the only one of its kind.

Housed inside is the IWC caliber 80110 mechanical movement with Pellaton automatic winding system, fitted with a blackened rotor. Enabling high-performance usage, the watch integrates a shock-absorption system with one of IWC’s most robust movements. Secured to the wrist a rubber strap with Dinamica inlay accented and green quilted stitching – the same innovative microfibre used in the Mercedes Benz AMG GT interior.

This watch will be sold during the Only Watch charity auction, taking place in Geneva on 7 November 2015. All funds raised will benefit research for Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy.
