By Watchonista

I love New York! What an excitement to be in The City talking watches! Watchonista is delighted to call New York the home base for our North American office. Around the corner from our office, our friends at Watch Time, have quickly built their annual New York exhibition to become one of the most attended horological events on the US calendar. This year, 30 brands will be exhibiting at the show and several educational experiences will be offered.

Today, we’re pleased to announce that we’ve joined forces with WatchTime as partner of the upcoming New York show. Occurring October 13th and 14th at New York’s Gotham Hall. This will also be an opportunity for you to meet our Managing Editor of North America, Josh Shanks, who will participate in a panel discussion on the state of the watch industry. This is an event not to be missed!

Watchonista strengthens its presence in North America

Our online magazine Watchonista.com was founded in 2009, and ever since, we’ve been active in covering the latest news, releases, and opinions from the watch industry via comprehensive and engaging content. We work with some of the best and most important writers on the scene. In addition to our editorial mission, we seek to educate novice to experienced collectors and watchmakers. Watchonista was the first website to aggregate watch news, and over time, we’ve built a comprehensive database of almost every watch made in the last decade.

Earlier this year, we launched our operations in North America, led by Josh. We’ve enjoyed a warm welcome by audiences, brands, and fellow collectors. Things sure move fast on this side of the world, in just a few short months, we co-hosted WISCON 2017 in Las Vegas for collectors of Rolex & Tudor, we partnered with Red Bar Crew for the Summer Watch Walk Series, and joined as sponsors of AWCI and NAWCC  to help raise awareness of horological causes. Moreover, we’ve been covering the latest novelties, industry news, and important events happening in the US and Canada.

During this time, we’ve brought on esteemed contributors Rhonda Riche and Barbara Palumbo. I’m excited about the great team we’re building in North America. We also have some very exciting things coming up that are sure to surprise and delight. Ultimately, we’re optimistic about the future of the watch Industry and we’ve been active in strengthening our presence in the US and abroad.

This luxurious consumer weekend experience is produced by WatchTime Magazine, America’s best-selling and most influential media brand devoted to wristwatch collectors and enthusiasts. With this premiere consumer watch event, the Magazine is leading the way in building a community beyond its pages, bringing collectors and brands together in a weekend long celebration of watchmaking. This year, WatchTime New York reflects the show’s success and momentum in its third year by presenting a record number of 28 exhibitors and more educational experiences than ever before.
