IWC Schaffhausen Portugieser Eternal Calendar

The Full List of Winning Watches from the 2024 Grand Prix d’Horlogerie de Genève (GPHG)

The 24th awards ceremony of the Grand Prix d’Horlogerie de Genève (GPHG), hosted by iconic French actress Carole Bouquet, was held today in Geneva’s spectacular Théâtre du Léman…and the results are in!

By Watchonista

Once again, the watch industry has gathered together to officially recognize the best timepieces created this year. Winning a GPHG award is like winning an Academy Award; it’s a true honor, and the goodwill effects can be astounding. For a young independent brand or even a mega-watchmaking house, garnering a GPHG award for your headquarter’s display case, or even being considered, can further ignite interest, conversation, and sales. Continuing in our eleventh year as partner of GPHG, Watchonista was present in Geneva to witness the exciting festivities.

The GPHG Academy - a group of 980 key players in the profession worldwide - with the jury of 30 leading figures from the world of watchmaking and the arts, chaired by historian, author and journalist Nick Foulkes, saluted watchmaking excellence and expertise with 20 prizes including the famous “Aiguille d’Or Grand Prix” best-in-show distinction. For the record, last year, the “Aiguille d’Or” went to the Code 11.59 by Audemars Piguet Ultra-Complication Universelle RD#4.

As a lead-off highlight, this year, the highly coveted “Aiguille d’Or” went to the IWC Schaffhausen Portugieser Eternal Calendar.
