Watchonista Launches A Print Magazine You Can't Buy

Introducing Watchonista: Volume 01 – The Watch Magazine You Can’t Buy

Watchonista is going to print and making one of the most exclusive watch magazines around!

By Watchonista

Today, we are proud to announce that on Tuesday, August 24, Watchonista officially enters the world of print with the launch of Watchonista: Volume 01 – “The Watch Magazine You Can’t Buy.”

Everyone here at Watchonista has worked incredibly hard to make this magazine a reality. But more than that, Watchonista: Volume 01 is a physical representation of the unwavering dedication, limitless talent, and utter professionalism that is embodied by each and every member of Team Watchonista – whether they be in Switzerland, the United States, Canada, the U.K., and beyond.

So, it should probably go without saying, today is a big day for all of us at Watchonista!

“The Watch Magazine You Can’t Buy”

Our exclusive biannual magazine won’t be sold in bookstores or anywhere else, for that matter, including on Watchonista.com because Watchonista: Volume 01 is NOT FOR SALE.

Following our official launch at COUTURE, the only way you can get your hands on a copy of Watchonista: Volume 01 will be via the “Find The Magazine” button on Watchonista’s homepage. There, you can locate the nearest retailer or brand boutique carrying the magazine. We’ll also be selectively distributing copies to friends of Watchonista around the globe.

At launch, Watchonista: Volume 01 will be available at all US Omega boutiques, WEMPE, Watches of Switzerland, MAYORS, Topper Jewelers, Bhindi Jewelers, and more!

“With Watchonista’s Volume 01, I’m thrilled that WEMPE’s customers, clients, and visitors can be presented with this immersive and engaging magazine,” said Rudy Albers, President of WEMPE US.

About Watchonista: Volume 01

The inaugural issue of Watchonista’s print magazine will run 120 pages long and cover a wide range of topics, including watches, collector experiences, interviews, gift guides, and special event coverage, to name a few. Moreover, with Watchonista: Volume 01, ninety-nine percent of the images and one hundred percent of the text included in the issue were produced by Watchonista.

“Thanks to the hard work of our team and the massive growth of our company, I’m thrilled to bring Watchonista’s magazine to market,” said Watchonista Chairman Marco Gabella in a statement. “This exclusive concept will bring our content to life via a best-in-class magazine.”

Introducing: The Lounge by Watchonista

Located at the very heart of Watchonista: Volume 01, you will find a special section of the magazine that we have dubbed: The Lounge by Watchonista.

Presented on glossy paper and covering a range of horologically adjacent passions, The Lounge by Watchonista includes articles about cigars, spirits, books, and more! Our chairman probably summed up this special section best: “I am very excited to introduce The Lounge by Watchonista because it will allow us to present other passions that we, as Watchonistas, care deeply about.” More on that soon!

A Long & Winding Road

Founded in Switzerland in 2009, Watchonista’s core mission has always been to produce the best content and stories that watch enthusiasts and collectors will want to read. And for over a decade, our audience has embraced not only our unique content but our take on the watch industry, be it through Watchonista.com or via our social media channels.

On top of all that, in recent years, the breadth, depth, and quality of our content have improved drastically. All without having to turn Watchonista.com into an e-commerce platform. “This is a major milestone for our company,” said Watchonista’s Editor-in-Chief Josh Shanks. “And it’s thanks to our partner brands, awesome retailers, friends, supporters, and readers that we were able to make this happen!”

Since day one, our motto has been simple: “We are not a selling platform.” And that motto continues to this day with the introduction of Watchonista: Volume 01 – “The Watch Magazine You Can’t Buy.”

How to Find the Magazine

Starting Tuesday, August 24, visitors to Watchonista.com can click on “Find The Magazine” to locate their nearest participating brand or retailer boutique. At launch, Watchonista: Volume 01 will be available at all of Omega’s US boutiques, WEMPE Fifth Avenue, Watches of Switzerland, MAYORS, Topper Jewelers, and more!

Finally, as more points of distribution are added in the weeks following the launch, we’ll also be sharing more details about what’s inside the magazine and where to find it.

Happy Reading!
