Give Me a “B”! Breitling’s Endurance Pro Goes to College (and Joins the Football Team)

Inspired by the popular Breitling Sprint of the 1970s (which sported a pulsometer), the Endurance Pro collection from Breitling has always presented lightweight SuperQuartz-powered time-keeper options that are also accessibly priced. It’s no wonder that the Sprint and the Endurance Pro have been perennially popular with athletes and divers.

Still, despite its popularity with athletes, it was a bit surprising to see a luxury Swiss watchmaker take an interest in college football.

The University of Michigan football team has a long, long history of college sports dominance. In fact, as of this writing, not only is it ranked second in the Big Ten Conference, but it is also ranked third in the country overall.
 

So, for the Endurance Pro University of Michigan Edition, Breitling used a similar design and color approach as it did with the Princeton timepiece. This time, however, the University of Michigan’s classic deep blue and maize yellow colors dominate. And like all the University Editions detailed here, the chronograph sub-dials are color-matched to the main dial for a subtler, less technical approach.
 

Finally, the University of Michigan Edition has the school’s iconic Michigan “M” at the 6 o’clock position, its logo between 3 and 4 o’clock, and the full university seal on the caseback. Perfect for Wolverines fans.

While the U.S. Naval Academy in Annapolis, Maryland, doesn’t rank particularly high in the NCAA standings, the ONLY game diehard fans of college football really care about is the classic Army vs. Navy game. And in 2022, the Navy Midshipmen lost by only three points to the Army Black Knights of the U.S. Military Academy at West Point, New York, so Navy fans expect big things of their team in 2023.
