TAG Heuer Honors the Oracle Red Bull F1 Racing Team with a Special Formula 1 Solargraph

Beyond being the primary timepiece beneficiary of LVMH’s uber-partnership with F1, TAG Heuer is also the watch sponsor of one of the individual racing teams. This livery-colored Formula 1 Solargraph shifts into the high-octane heart of the matter.

As many of you probably know, TAG Heuer has enjoyed a partnership with the Oracle Red Bull F1 team (currently led by epic Dutch driver Max Verstappen) since 2016, nearly a decade before parent company LVMH’s massive, billion-dollar partnership with Formula 1 began in 2025.

Currently, Verstappen sits in 5th place, with his teammate Isaac Hadjar in 8th, but the scrappy team has managed to rise to 4th place in the “constructor” standings behind Mercedes, Ferrari, and McLaren.

However, there is still much of the F1 season to go before the final race in Abu Dhabi in December. In fact, Red Bull Racing’s next chance to improve its standing will come at the Formula 1 MSC Cruise United States Grand Prix at Texas’ Circuit of the Americas at the end of October.

The watchmaker has produced a number of special editions honoring its F1 team over the decade, but this ten-year milestone Formula 1 Solargraph x Oracle Red Bull Racing is arguably its most dynamic.

Racing Heritage

Ten years ago, TAG Heuer and Oracle Red Bull Racing came together around a simple conviction: Every fraction of a second matters. Since then, we have shared podiums, titles, and the same relentless drive to win. This special edition celebrates that journey while looking firmly ahead.

TAG Heuer CEO Béatrice Goasglas about the relationship

The timepiece’s sand-blasted 38mm steel case and equally matte three-link steel bracelet hew to some of the vintage elements from the 1980s Formula 1 timepieces upon which this piece is based. However, TAG’s edgy, light-powered TH50-00 quartz movement, first introduced in its Aquaracer Professional line in 2022, pushes the boundaries of modernity and technicality.

The movement harnesses any light source, natural or artificial, to deliver a full day’s power from a single minute of direct sunlight, and 10 months of gas after 40 hours of light exposure. Moreover, if you tuck this Solargraph away, it will restart with just 10 seconds of light exposure.

Additionally, its deep blue sunray-finished dial and telltale chunky blue bi-directional TH-Polylight bezel echo the Oracle Red Bull Racing team’s most prominent livery color, while a bold red minute ring provides contrast and clarity.

Expect applied, lumed, minimalist indices (including TAG shield-shaped markers for 12, 6, and 9 o’clock, a date window at 3 o’clock). Classic Formula 1 hour and minute hands ride over the dial, with a vibrant yellow seconds hand popping from the composition. After all, “every fraction of a second matters.”

Of course, for this breed of racing watch, a solid steel caseback protects the movement, but it’s also specially engraved with both the team’s and watchmaker’s logos and a checkered victory-flag pattern. The timepiece also carries 100 meters of water resistance.
