ACADEMY TOURBILLON GEORGES FAVRE-JACOT SHOWCASES THE ULTIMATE MICRO-MECHANICAL COMPLICATIONS

At Baselworld 2016, Zenith revealed one of the Manufacture Zenith masterpieces: the Academy Tourbillon Georges Favre-Jacot model offering a futuristic take on Haute Horlogerie and which is already much in demand among connoisseurs and collectors.

Traditional Haute Horlogerie meets contemporary virtuosity and futuristic design

Exquisite watchmaking technology and a far-sighted brand spirit have been deeply rooted in Zenith’s DNA for over 150 years. Today, building on this century and a half of watchmaking experience, the Manufacture has developed the Academy Tourbillon Georges Favre-Jacot watch featuring a boldly futuristic design expressed through innovative and contemporary materials. Issued in two 150-piece limited editions respectively equipped with a black ceramic or rose gold case that is water-resistant to 50 metres, it is powered by the equally El Primero Calibre 4805 proudly revealed on the dial.

This resolutely Haute Horlogerie movement combines two iconic complications interpreted by the Manufacture: the tourbillon and the fusee and chain transmission system. Its 50-hour power-reserve indicator appears between 4 and 5 o’clock.

This fascinating chapter of the Zenith saga is thus being written in unmistakably modern ink.
