Official description

Launched in early January 2023, Vulcain’s Skindiver Nautique first came in stainless steel with either a black or blue dial. It was a winner straight out the gate. Today, three months later, a new variant, also in steel, completes the family of iconic diving watches from the fabled Manufacture in Le Locle: subtle and light, the new Skindiver Salmon adds a color twist to the wrist with a stunningly understated, warm salmon dial tone that softens the diver vibe and beautifully catches the light.

The salmon dial gives this the Skindiver an unusual character, naturally contrasting with the cool 38mm stainless-steel case and the jet black ceramic inlay of the unidirectional fluted bezel. On the dial, the white Super LumiNova® indexes exude diving cred and elegant sportiness. Inspired by the 1960 Vulcain classic, the Skindiver comes with a three-hand Swiss automatic movement: the ETA 2824 workhorse caliber with a 38-hour power reserve. With its resolutely vintage-yet-contemporary look, amplified by the salmon dial and black leather strap with carbon pattern and matching stitching, this diver stands out in the sea of reissued divers. Priced to compete at CHF 1,490 (on the Vulcain website), the watch is water resistant to 200m. The exclusive Skindiver 38mm Salmon Dial is limited to 50 pieces.
