TAG Heuer is proud to announce Jessica Korda as new Brand Ambassador

TAG Heuer have chosen the US Open to welcome Jessica's entry into its great family of brand ambassadors.

Here is a new golf champion with an edge. She is young, funny, fresh, extroverted, natural and pretty; she has a great sense of humour and, more importantly, she can laugh at herself. She is at ease in all situations, including on social networks where she spontaneously communicates with her thousands of fans (she even takes selfies on the golf course to capture the action). She doesn't take herself too seriously, yet golf is a game she plays to win.

Aged 22, Jessica Korda is a phenomenon on the global professional golf circuit. In sporting terms, thanks to her three wins on the global LPGA Tour, she is one of the most promising stars in the women's game.

She is not first sportsperson in her family to perform on the world stage, however. Her first big win came back in 2012 at the Women's Australian Open at Royal Melbourne, a particularly poignant moment for her father Petr Korda, former tennis champion, who won the Australian Open in 1998. It would seem elite sporting success runs in the family…

Jean-Claude Biver, CEO of TAG Heuer and President of the LVMH Group Watch Division, declared: "I am delighted that Jessica has chosen to become an ambassador for TAG Heuer. At the tender age of 22, she already has the spirit of a champion and a bold personality, which makes her stand out in the world of golf. She has talent in its purest form, a free spirit and a game-changing approach, which is just what TAG Heuer is looking for. Her passion for communication will bring new energy to the brand, enabling TAG Heuer to connect even more with young people."

Jessica Korda said: “I feel so privileged to join the iconic TAG Heuer family as an ambassador. I have so much I want to achieve in my career and it’s exciting to chase those goals with the support of a partner like TAG Heuer whose values align with mine.”

Jessica is set to compete in the 2015 U.S. Women's Open held from 9 to 12 July in the elegant setting of the Lancaster Country Club, Pennsylvania, in the north-east of the United States – and TAG Heuer have chosen this event to announce Jessica's entry into its great family of brand ambassadors.

Jessica is American and lives in Bradenton, Florida.
