Sharing the same values of Speake-Marin as elegance and independence, Pierce Brosnan was revealed last year as the perfect ambassador for the Swiss brand. Friend of Peter Speake-Marin and supporter of the Swiss Brand, Pierce Brosnan will embody Speake-Marin for the second year.

'I met Peter on the set of a film in which he was a consultant for a character who was a watchmaker. We spoke briefly; we both love what we do, and myself as a lover of watches I appreciated his genuine passion and subsequent designs. I acquired one of his time pieces and a dialogue ensued. Delighted following the success of this first year of partnership with one of the best- known Irish actors internationally, Speake-Marin is delighted to reveal two new pictures of Pierce Brosnan.

Realised by the renowned Swiss photographer Marco Grob in New York, the two pictures show the actor in a dark, sporting, suit. Pierce Brosnan wears on his wrist the iconic watch of the J-Class Collection: Velsheda.

The Velsheda offers a minimalist display of time using a single polished steel, blued hand. While the single hand extends across the diameter of the dial, its central hub is in the form of the Speake-Marin topping tool logo, as is the central seconds wheel sitting above it. The rotation of the seconds wheel on top of the slower moving hub of the hand creates ever-changing, eye-catching patterns, drawing the eye to the centre of Velsheda’s dial.
