RJ-Romain Jerome celebrates life with the « Día de los Muertos Clásico »

Introducing new Icons to the Día de Los Muertos collection, RJ-Romain Jerome asserts the design of these Memento Mori emblems by adding sparkling diamonds and rubies as well as skull engravings to a new 43mm case!

For the past years, RJ-Romain Jerome has celebrated the Día de los Muertos through colourful and skilfully crafted timepieces highlighting the beautiful sculptures and portraits of the famous Calaveras. This year, the iconoclastic brand introduces a new collection that continues to represent the cultural values and distinctive design features of the original models.

As part of UNESCO’s "Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity" since 2003, on November 2nd, the Día de los Muertos, brightens up the streets of Mexico with its related festivities and traditions. It’s with this spirit that RJ-Romain Jerome celebrates life and chases worries and negativity away with the Día de los Muertos Clásico collection.

This new collection offers a range of three new designs, each housed in an elegant 43 mm black PVD-coated steel case. The black bezel has been delicately engraved with RJ’s Calaveras and filigree decorations. The dial sports the brands recognisable X traverses whilst the rest of the surface is filled with engravings of the famous skull, creating a unique sense of depth. The main Calaveras applique is carefully set in the center of the dial, allowing the wearer to appreciate the design of the watch through every detail (2).

These three new models echo the brands artisanal know-how and artistic vision. Each timepiece is finished with a black alligator strap, highlighting the classic size of the case.

Part of RJ-Romain Jerome’s Historical Icons, this limited edition of 99 pieces per model is a testimony to RJ’s passion for the preservation of cultural emblems and traditions. So let’s celebrate life with the Día de los Muertos Clásico collection and cultivate the customs of our ancestors.
