Seen @Christie's, a wonderful Patek 1491 with scroll lugs:
For many watch addicts, the greatest strength of Patek is the case design.
This Chronograph 1491 features very special lugs. Apart from this fancy detail, the watch is the apex of classic elegance, even with its large sub-dials. The watch is almost NOS and it's hard to believe that this Patek 1491 was sold in 1942.
This chronograph features a 35mm gold case and a caliber "13", like the number of lignes of the movement.
This watch is extremely rare in many respects, because of its lugs, of its XL sub dials, of its almost NOS condition and overall because it is the first 1491 Chrono ever seen at an auction.
