Official description

Perrelet is world-renowned for developing watches characterised by an original and instantly recognisable design, all equipped with automatic calibres.

The brand is distinguished by its exclusive animated dials. In 1995 Perrelet patented the Double Rotor and in 2009 the Turbine. Two technologies that may seem similar but are totally different. The Double Rotor is functional to the movement and the rotation of the two perfectly synchronised oscillating weights, one on the case back and a second one on the display side, powers the barrel ensuring a more efficient winding force. The Turbine features a propeller-shaped rotor, which creates fascinating optical effects when spinning on the dial and has only an aesthetic purpose.

Nowadays Perrelet takes the automatic movement to a higher level. This happens with the “LAB Peripheral” collection.

This line features a rotor that dances discreetly around the periphery of the dial according to the rhythm of the owner’s wrist.  It accomplishes its task, does not disturb the legibility of the watch's functions and boasts a fine carving with oblique stripes. It is almost invisible but does not hide from a keen eye.

The oscillating weight observable on the dial-side is made possible thanks to the clever in-house manufacture self-winding movements,  caliber P-421 for the dual time model.

The model “LAB Peripheral Dual Time” provides the practical Dual Time function highly appreciated by travelers. It takes place on the counter at 6 o’clock, in the same hue as the display. Decorated with circular grooves it bears the second-time indication, with a mix of Arabic numerals and indices. The day/night indication is revealed through a small round aperture between 10 and 11 o’clock.  The hour and minute hands of the two-time zones are treated with white Super-LumiNova.To enhance optimal legibility, at 12 o’clock the date is displayed in two small windows.
