After an exciting competition, Pius Schwizer and PSG Future are the winning team of the only Swiss leg in the Longines FEI World Cup™ series, which took place in the frame of the Mercedes-Benz CSI Zurich. Longines supports this series as Title Partner. Furthermore, the brand is implicated for the third year in a row as Main Partner and Official Timekeeper of the Mercedes-Benz CSI Zurich. Official Watch of the event was a model of the collection Longines DolceVita.
Numerous visitors admired the outstanding performances of the world’s best riders and horses this weekend at the Hallenstadion. During the spectacular single Swiss leg of the Longines FEI World Cup™ series on Sunday, one of the highlights of this year’s Mercedes-Benz CSI Zürich, the best pair was Swiss rider Pius Schwizer on PSG Future. Denis Lynch (IRL) on All Star finished second while Edwina Tops-Alexander from Australia riding Caretina de Joter reached the third place.
The winner was presented with a beautiful Longines timepiece by Christophe Jeanneret, Longines Brand Manager Swiss Market. The winner of Friday’s Longines Grand Prix, Gregory Wathelet (BEL) on Citizenguard Taalex, was as well among the lucky ones to receive an elegant watch of the Swiss watch brand.
The Official Watch of the Mercedes-Benz CSI Zurich was the Longines DolceVita, an elegant model set with diamonds. Since its inception, this collection has illustrated the contemporary elegance of the Longines watchmaking brand worldwide. Now, a new chapter in this collection opens with a unique interpretation featuring softened lines.
The partnership between Longines and the Mercedes-Benz CSI Zurich is highly representative of Longines' intrinsic values, such as elegance, performance and the passion for horses and equestrian sports and reaffirms the Swiss watch brand's commitment in this field. Longines' passion for equestrian sports dates back to 1878 with the production of a chronograph engraved with a jockey and his mount. Today, the brand is involved in show-jumping, flat racing, eventing and endurance competitions.
