Manufacture Royale taken over by the Goutens
The Goutens & Guten acquire Manufacture Royale, the brand based in Vallorbe in the Jura Mountains. The specialists in watch distribution are thereby making their debut in branding as GTN Luxury Holding.

Gérard, David, Alexis Gouten and Marc Guten have joined forces around a set of common values, the freedom to do business and the local map in order to take over an exceptional maison in the world of watchmaking, one with niche products. Indeed, the Manufacture Royale has its own manufacture, which allows them to produce complicated calibers in-house. Manufacture Royale was established by Arnaud Faivre – also founder of Tec Ebauches – as a tribute to Voltaire's namesake workshop, opened in 1770 in Ferney by the great French philosopher and writer. Voltaire's Manufacture Royale produced mechanical winding movements and watches aimed at the upper classes.
The takeover of Manufacture Royale could be summed up in Voltaire's famous words: “Great minds think alike”. The official announcement will be made during the first week of November.
