The Swiss Public Gives Unanimous Support To The Type XXI

Friday October 25, 2013, Breguet was awarded for the second consecutive year the Public’s Prize by the Swiss publication "Montres Passion" within the context of its annual contest. Among 41 pieces submitted to the vote of web users, the Chronograph Type XXII in rose gold with its sporty styling and unique features emerged as the winner of the prize by receiving the greatest number of votes.

The model Type XXII is at the forefront of watchmaking technology. First series-made mechanical chronograph with a 10 Hz frequency, it is equipped with silicon escapement and flat balance spring. Fitted with the flyback function, developed specifically for aviation, the reference 3880 includes a second time-zone indication.

The timepieces Type XXII follow on from the Type XX collection, originally created in the 1950’s on the request of the French military for both its air and naval forces. Since then, Breguet has continued to further enhance this iconic line, which is part of its rich history.
