• A crazy story! During the Pacific War, the U.S. Navy pilot where provided with "trading kits" for negotiating with the natives in case of a crash in the Pacific islands. These kits were composed of:
• Two gold rings, a gold medallion, a (shining) gold chain, and especially:
• a Milus gold watch, powered by a Valjoux 2408, a manual ancestor of the ETA 2824.
• Milus just re-released 99 cases of this movement, with cufflinks, a medallion and of course the faithful reissue of the vintage model.
• Always driven by a 2408, but this time embedded in a 40mm pink gold case.
• The gold version with the Valjoux 2408 is charged 40,000 chf.
• But a steel version (limited to… 1940 copies) powered by a ETA 2824 is available for 2,500 CHF. ;)
