A Newcomer In The Harry Winston Emerald Collection

Harry Winston expands the elegant Emerald collection with the incorporation of larger timepieces. The distinctive octagonal case shape and unique dial were inspired by Mr. Winston’s favorite diamond cut: the emerald cut. Contemporary yet classic, this stylish companion is available with an automatic or quartz movement.

A famous cut

Mr. Winston, known as “The King of Diamonds” thanks to his unrivalled collection of historic gemstones, revolutionized the American jewelry scene with his contemporary approach to cutting and setting precious stones. Freeing gems from old-fashioned, cumbersome metal settings and often re-cutting them, he allowed their innate beauty to shine in minimalist mountings.

Larger case size

Previously featuring only petite, very feminine frames, the Emerald collection now welcomes a larger, 33 mm case available in 18-karat white and rose gold. The bold octagonal architecture of the case is highlighted by beveled edges and a lustrous shine. Like a faceted gemstone, the sloping sides on the dial add depth and volume. Taking the emerald motif a step further, the classic gold Harry Winston logo at 12 o’clock is balanced by a beveled date window at 6 o’clock.

Emerald Automatic

The Emerald Automatic timepieces offer the hours, minutes, seconds and date, and are presented in two colorways; rose gold with a silver opaline with sunray satin- brushed finish and white gold with a gradient blue hue that darkens toward the edges. Another distinguishing feature of the Emerald Automatic is the chapter ring for enhanced precision. In keeping with its elegant nature, the timepiece features hour markers that are crafted in either rose or white gold, faceted and applied to the dial.

Fitted with a high-end Swiss mechanical automatic movement, the Emerald Automatic has a generous power reserve of 72 hours, long enough to keep perfect time through the weekend. The underside of the case offers a view of the 18-karat white gold skeletonized rotor and luxury finishes, including Côtes de Genève, rhodium plating and circular graining on the movement. Like all Harry Winston mechanical timepieces, the movement features a flat silicon balance spring to ensure superlative performance over the years.

Emerald Quartz

A quartz version of the Emerald timepiece with hours, minutes and date functions is also available. Crafted in 18-karat rose or white gold, two of the four models are set with 94 brilliant-cut diamonds on the case and lugs. There is also a slight variation on the blue dial of the white gold models, which features a sunray with satin-brushed finish.

All of the new Emerald models come with elegant alligator leather straps -- blue for the white gold and brown for the rose gold -- and are secured to the wrist with a fresh gold ardillon buckle. The new buckle is engraved with “Harry Winston” and crafted to match the bevelled edges of the case and dial.
