Official description
Inspired by the red glaciers found in Antarctica, this limited edition celebrating the 80th birthday of Reinhold Messner, comes with a red sfumato glacier pattern dial. The 44 mm timepiece has been encased in such a way that there is no oxygen inside. This unusual operation has numerous benefits for mountaineers who need their equipment to work perfectly in the harshest climates, making it the perfect model to pay tribute to Reinhold Messner and his numerous achievements. Powered by Montblanc’s Manufacture chronograph with worldtime complication, calibre MB 29.27, this automatic movement includes a date at 3 o’clock and two 3D turning globes with the Northern Hemisphere at 12 o’clock and the Southern Hemisphere at 6 o’clock. The timepiece is fitted with a fluted bi-directional black ceramic bezel with cardinal points and an interchangeable black textile strap with a touch of red stitching that recalls the wonders of the rare red glaciers.
