Mido, Official Performance Partner of the Red Bull Cliff Diving World Series 2019, is pleased to announce that the competition has started! For the launch of the 11th season, the 24 best cliff divers in the world – 14 men and 10 women – met on 12 and 13 April in the idyllic surroundings of El Nido, Palawan in the Philippines. The emerald waters and wild rocks of this heavenly place have no doubt inspired the athletes: exceptional performances and impressive dives were at the rendezvous! Jonathan Paredes, Mido Friend of the Brand, made a name for himself and climbed to the 3rd place on the podium. The season is definitely launched!

The first stop of the Red Bull Cliff Diving World Series 2019 took place in El Nido (Palawan, Philippines). Perched amid the beautiful scenery of the lagoons, the cliff divers embarked body and soul in this 11th edition. At the end of this stop – the first of a series of 7 – the Mexican, Jonathan Paredes, grabbed the 3rd place on the podium. Its extreme precision, legendary grace and pure lines have allowed the athlete to score 408.05 points.
Gary Hunt, winner of this first stop, was awarded a Mido Ocean Star Diver 600. Water-resistant up to a pressure of 60 bar, shock-resistant and perfectly legible even in the darkness of the sea depths, the Ocean Star Diver 600 is the diving watch par excellence.
