Michael Whitaker (GBR) won the Longines Global Champions Tour Grand Prix of Madrid in the Longines Global Champions Tour opening in Madrid on Saturday. After three rounds, Whitaker, riding Viking, was the only rider left on a zero penalty score. Laura Kraut (USA) finished second and Alvaro de Miranda (BRA) third. The winner received a Longines timepiece from Charles Villoz, VP Sales Longines. Longines is the Title Partner and Official Timekeeper of the 2013 Longines Global Champions Tour.
