Christian Ahlmann wins the Longines Grand Prix in Basel

After an exciting competition, Christian Ahlmann (GER) and his stallion Codex One are with three clear rounds the winning team of the Longines Grand Prix at this year’s Longines CSI Basel. Best Swiss rider was Jane Richard Philips, Longines Ambassadress of Elegance. The Swiss watch brand supported the event at the St. Jakobshalle for the third year in a row as the Title Partner and the Official Timekeeper and presented its new watch collection Longines DolceVita.

Numerous visitors witnessed this 5-star-event at the St. Jakobshalle and admired the performances of the world’s best riders and horses. During the spectacular Longines Grand Prix on Sunday, one of the highlights of this year’s Longines CSI Basel, the best pair was Christian Ahlmann (GER) on Codex One. Penelope Leprevost (FRA) on Vagabond de la Pomme finished second while last year’s winner Luciana Diniz (POR) riding Fit for Fun reached the third place. The winner was presented with an elegant Longines timepiece by Walter von Känel, President of Longines.

Best Swiss rider of the competition was Longines Ambassadress of Elegance Jane Richard Philips (10th place) while French rider Roger Yves Bost was honoured as most successful rider of the whole event.
