Konstantin Chaykin Matroskin

During a Spring 2025 survey marking Russian Animation Day, Matroskin the Cat emerged as the nation’s favourite animated character, surpassing Cheburashka and Domovenok Kuzya.

Symbolically, 2025 also witnessed the start of a landmark collaboration between the Konstantin Chaykin manufacture and Soyuzmultfilm Animation Studio. This partnership resulted in the launch of the Matroskin Wristmon — a timepiece as charismatic as its literary and animated prototype, created in the early 1970s by writer Eduard Uspensky.
